NUS BiZiT will publish regular articles and write-ups by students on subjects relating to Information Systems on our website (Publications).
We also host an online discussion group for our members to make comments and seek support (Discussion).
Workshops will focus on training skills related to the working world. The workshops will be conducted by students or available mentors/alumni.
NUS BiZiT will be actively reach out to alumni and industries to give updates and overviews of industries to our students. There would be heavy focus on networking and Question and Answers to connect the student for an early starting in preparing for the working world.
We would form partnerships with the faculty Undergraduate office and the Centre for Future-ready Graduates to offer career workshops to our members. We would assist in cross-promoting the general available workshops and to lobby for greater representation of IS industry-related companies to be present at the Computing Career fair. We also maintain a mini-job portal site collating a list of job availability from different sources.
We seek to gather a team of students interested in volunteering and returning back to society through various projects assisting Non-Governmental Organisations (NGO) with the deployment of their system solutions.
We hope after gathering more experience, we could extend to hosting bigger event such as forming teams to take part in external competition and even hosting our own flagship case competition.
